Nazeer Foundation arranges for a teacher from Karachi to visit Kathore once a week to teach female students the basics of English grammar and speaking skills.

This session is open for students of all classes, mainly comprised of grades 9 through 12.

The classes have been in progress since 2007. As a result, many girls from the Kathore area have now been able to perform better on their national board exams which require them to read and write in English.

The girls have also learned how to become better communicators. Most importantly, they can gain and have a better understanding of the world around them simply because they are finally grasping and understanding the overwhelming international language of communication, English.

New uniforms encourage cleanliness at KKJG

Nazeer Foundation distributed school uniforms to about 300 students for classes 6-10 for the KKJG Higher Secondary Government School for Boys.

Before this, students had little concept of clean clothing or hygiene when attending classes. School uniforms have multiple positive results: The students are less likely to focus on their family’s limited resources when picking clothes for school, and students who are clean and hygienic learn better.

They are now required to come in a neat and clean uniform on a daily basis.
